Program

For the 78th commemorations of D.day, the pipe bands of BOWU International will meet again this year during the various ceremonies in the Sword Beach area, with the main ceremonies paying tribute to the men who landed on the morning of June 6, 1944 at Colleville-Montgomery and the traditional crossing of the Pegasus Bridge in Bénouville...


Friday

Passage of the Pegasus Bridge under the direction of the public authorities and the town hall of Bénouville.
Ceremony at the Signal monument: Esplanade du
Major Howard.
Parade to the Memorial for an aubade.
1:30 pm : Multipurpose room catring in Bénouville. 10€ member, 15€ non member.

“Road of the Commandos”: Walking / hiking. This march retraces the course of the BFM commando N 4

8:30 a.m., start of the March of the Commandos. The march will join Saint Aubin d'Arquenay, Bénouville then Amfreville with the participation of the children of the primary schools of the municipalities mentioned above as well as the schools and the college of Ouistreham, accompanied by the green berets of the Ecole des Fusiliers Marins de Lorient who will perform the two French and British national anthems at each stele.

Like every year, from June 5 to 6, BOWU International pipers and drummers will gather in the different ceremonial areas.

August 19

80th anniversary of the Dieppe RAID


August 19: Wanderings in the village of Berneval and aubade in front of the town hall of Petit-Caux, near the OVERLORD camp.

August 20: official ceremonies.
